Sensational blues, psychedelic, and pop rock artists Steve Miller Band and Peter Frampton are bringing their signature sounds to the KeyBank Pavilion!
Peter Kenneth Frampton was born in Bromley (London) in 1950 and is a rock musician, singer, songwriter, producer, and guitarist. Steve Miller Band was formed in San Francisco in 1966 and is managed by Steve Miller on guitar and lead vocals. There have been various line up changes over the years and the band currently is also composed of Kenny Lee Lewis (guitar, bass, backing vocals), Gordy Knudston (drums), Joesph Wooten (keyboards, synthesizers, vocals), and Jacob Peterson (guitar). The band is best known for a string of hit singles in the mid 70s and that have now become staples of classic rock radio. Steve left his first band to move to San Francisco to form the Steve Miller Blues Band. Shortly after they got a record deal in 1967, the band shortened its name to the Steve Miller Band and released their debut album (Children of the Future) a year later. Since then they’ve had a stellar career with 17 more studio albums, 6 live albums, 7 compilation albums, and at least 29 singles. In 2016, Steve Miller was inducted as a solo artist in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
